Learning & Exploring
Stick Art
Reclaimed branch art. Mixed species glued to Walnut stained Pine board. This piece took patience and perseverance and was harder to do than I thought! ~10”x24”.
Angles
Reclaimed Oak balusters. Love how this turned out! ~1.5” cubes cut at 15, 30, and 45 degree angles. Finished with oil, glued to Walnut stained Pine board. ~20”x10”.
Canada Flag
Reclaimed wood Canada flag. Oak strips with Walnut stain and oil finish. ~18”x36”. Inspired by a flag my Dad made.
Quilt
Exploring design and production techniques. The quilt pattern was carved into the wood, stained, then carved a second time to clean up edges.
Great Lakes Map
I really like how this rustic map turned out! 16"x26"
Pick Box
Mahogany guitar pick box. Clear plastic cover inset into box as a permanent lid. Slit in wood at back allows for pick insert and shake out.
Ansellworx Stamp
Carved this stamp using scrap vinyl tile. Multiple bits used 1/8" for roughing, then 10 degree detail v-bit.
Ring
Ipe & Stainless steel ring. Cut Ipe wood on CNC, then glued to stainless steel band. Lots of trial and error with this one.
